Search and Rescue
Madison County Search and Rescue is comprised of two units. The Ruby Valley Unit operates out of their office in Sheridan and the Madison Valley Unit operates out of their office in Ennis. Both units train regularly and serve all the residents and visitors of Madison County. Missions occur in the vast array of terrain that the county offers in all four seasons. Team members are available 24/7/365 to respond to all types of emergencies looking for lost people and rescuing those need in a variety of circumstances.
Fire Department Volunteers Needed
Madison County fire protection comes from seven separate fire districts covering all of the county. Volunteers make up the majority of fire fighting staff who are the ones who respond to all fire emergencies and many other needs. If you have ever considered being a volunteer fire fighter, please contact the Fire Chief in the area where you live or the Madison County Sheriff's Office and we can help direct you to the fire department in your area.
